Adventure Trips for Adults

Calling All Adults!

The Chingachgook Adventure Team is gearing up for a new season of ADULT TRIPS! Explore the Adirondack outdoors in all of its autumn glory with experienced guides and a small group of adventurous adults. Our trips this year will take you from the refreshing shores of Lake George Islands all the way up to the bustling adventure sports hub of Lake Placid. Try new adventure sports, meet new people, and experience the crisp Adirondack air in some of the most beautiful places around.

High Peaks Backpacking

September 28th–30th

To kick off our Adult Adventure Programming, take a hike with us through the High Peaks in our beautiful Adirondack Park! Our group will pack out the necessities to camp in the mountains, while we spend each day hiking and exploring areas surrounding Marcy Dam in North Elba, NY. All meals, group gear, tents, and transportation provided.

Cost per Person: $275 (Tier 1), $250 (Tier 2), $225 (Tier3)

Spaces: Six (+ two guides)

Kayak the Narrow Islands

October 5th – 7th

Catch the last of the warm water with a paddle through the beautiful glacier-sculpted Lake George Narrow Islands. We will leave Chingachgook and paddle to our quiet island campsite, surrounded by mountains. There is plenty to explore, including a waterfall, cliff ledges, swimming spots, and excellent hiking trails for a variety of ability levels. All meals, group gear, tents, and transportation provided.

Cost per Person: $275 (Tier 1), $250 (Tier 2), $225 (Tier3)

Spaces: Eight (+ two guides)

Rock & Roll: Bike and Climb Lake Placid

October 12th–14th

This combination front and backcountry trip includes professional mountain biking and rock climbing guides surrounding the cozy hub of outdoor adventure sports, Lake Placid. Spend each day learning the thrill of these exciting outdoor pursuits in the beautiful Adirondack Park, and spend an evening exploring the village boutiques and local restaurants we have come to love so much! All meals, group gear, tents, and transportation provided.

Cost per Person: $380 (Tier 1), $360 (Tier 2), $340 (Tier3)

Spaces: Six (+ one Chingachgook guide and two–four biking and climbing guides)

Northeast Adventure and Trip Symposium (NEATS)

November 9th–11th

Chingachgook is hosting the first annual NEATS, designed by the Northeast Travel and Adventure Affinity Group (TAAG). Our goal is to develop common practices and analyze emerging trends in off-site program management for the Trip and Travel industry by promoting open dialogue and strategy development between outdoor professionals. Admission is currently open to outdoor recreation professionals and students.
